Resemblence

I was showing Loralie the scrapbook that I made of all my Dad's pictures. She looked so happy to see "Poppa" and kept exclaiming every time she saw him. She also kept calling the younger pictures of him "Uncle Matt" and the younger pictures of my mom "Aunt Andie". She was sure that one baby picture of me was "Baby Ada" (I have always thought that she looks a little bit like me, especially when she was newborn!). But my favorite was when she saw my wedding picture and said it was a "pretty princess". I said, "Loralie, that's mommy!" and she said "Mommy a princess!" Love that girl :)

It's amazing how your life can change in a single minute. Last year, I asked Loralie to tell me all of her "favorites". I thought it would be fun to repeat the experiment each year and see how her answers change (or don't change!). Simmin' in the Simmin' Pool!

So, our outdoor baby has a new love of her life- "Simmin' in the simmin' pool!" I think she would be out there all day if I let her! In fact, I have to watch her really carefully when we are just playing in the backyard, cause she has been known to crawl in by herself fully dressed! She likes to splash and kick, and play with her watering can and rubber duckies. Mama is going to have a good tan by the end of this summer!
