Roman'a First Day of School

Image
Look who started his first day of preschool (PDO)!  This big boy was excited wear a backpack and go to school just like sister. You will notice he picked out his own outfit.  We have to have everything monochromatic so that it "matches".  Also, both this top and bottom might be pajamas.  Whatever.  He picked it out. Here's what happened when I said he couldn't open his lunchbox and eat his lunch at 9:15.   He was a big boy and walked right in his class without a fuss.  And it really did the trick.  I got so much done today, he talked about school nonstop on his way home (he told me all about Emma who is now his best friend) and he konked out for his nap in about five minutes flat!  Success!

Matt and Becca Sittin' in a Tree

Last weekend we got to celebrate the wedding of Matt and Becca!  Even though they actually got married on some cliffs in Ireland, they had a fun reception at home with a few guests.  Ada and Loralie ran around like feral children, and had a great time.    Congratulations you crazy kids!

RenFest 2014

It's time for my favorite fall activity!  Ok, my second favorite (besides the pumpkin patch). RenFest baby!  This was a fun year with the kids as they were both pretty into it.  Kaylee and Ellie joined us and we met Pirate Kings... And Mermaids... And Belly Dancers!  Oh my! The kids rode a dragon and had apple fritters for dinner. The weather was perfect and it was a lovely time!  Huzzah!

We have a lot of fun but he misses his sister.  Nap time has gotten much more interesting since we moved roman to his big boy bed... Loralie is loving Kindrgarten and she especially loves having Kaylee around so much (our next door neighbor who I watch before and after school).  She loves climbing trees, doing art, writing, playing dress up, and playing with her little bro.  She has l...
