Potty Times

Image
So check out this cool dude on the potty!  I have been dragging my feet on officially potty training Roman because I remember what a pain it was with Loralie, but this kid will not be stopped.  He has come to me on several occasions, told me he had to go potty, and then went!  Without any formal training! !! Lol!  I am waiting until he successfully does a number two to switch to big boy under ware.   Who knows,  maybe this kid will just train himself. ..

Loralie's Sunday School Performance

The kids got up in church today and performed the "Arky-Arky" song, preceeding a sermon about Noah. You can see her there in the front row- shorties in the front of course!  She did a great job!

A Hunting We Will Go

Yesterday was the third annual Lenz Family Easter Egg Hunt and Potluck!  We had a great turn out, beautiful weather, and a blessed time with friends and family. My kids are sugar addicts.  Loralie ate almost all the candy out of Roman's basket when no one was looking, and Roman went around to other people's baskets and stole their candy.  There were so many kiddos running around, and I don't even think I got pictures of all of them!  Cousins!  Identical Cousins, and you'll find...  they walk alike, they talk alike, at times they even dress alike!  What a crazy pair!  Could not get the three of them to look at the camera and smile at the same time...  A few, but not all, of my awesome friends in attendance... This was primarily for our small group as our monthly "fun" activity, but of course, I invited my family as well, so that I wouldn't have to cook Easter dinner twice!  LOL. It was ...

Easter 2014

Image
We had a very quiet and laid back Easter this year.  We have been doing our resurrection  eggs for the last two weeks and it has been really fun to watch Roman learn the Easter story bit by bit.  We also made our Resurrection Rolls, which are always a big hit.   The kids were excited about their baskets.  Loralie got the Frozen movie, which just might be the best thing that has ever happened to her, bless her heart.  The kiddos got all fancy for church and it's a good thing I got pictures before because Roman almost ruined his shirt at lunch...  Let's face it, he's pretty happy about any activity that involves food.  Don't let the innocent smiles fool you, they were pretty much wrestling the whole photo shoot. And this is the best (terrible) picture I got of the four of us.  Thank you for your co-operation, Roman.  Good Gracious.   The Big Easter Egg Hunt with friends and family is this Saturday, so the fun...

Loralie, hide your dates...

Caleb got a special honor at work today.  He earned a challenge coin for firearms proficiency.   Out of 1300 sworn officers on the department, they have only given out 19 of these coins!   I am married to a sharp shooter!

I accompanied Loralie's class on a field trip to a children's museum yesterday.  Loralie and her BFF Kaitlyn were inseparable.   They had a great time!

And a Half

Image
This little girl is 5 AND A HALF on Sunday!  She is such a good girl and we love her oh so much.  She is a great big sister to her little bro... She is learning to read and write and do all kinds of math.  Seriously, she could pass Kindergarten in Independence right now.  She is FULL of energy and imagination.  She love to listen to me read chapter books.  We cuddle up on her bed before "nap time" each day.  Currently we are reading Ella Enchanted.   Five...and a half.  Deep breaths, Mama.  Deep breaths.

Lenny Lenz

Image
So, remember this guy? Loralie dubbed the camper "Lenny" for some reason, and Lenny has gone through quite the transformation.  From filthy 90's oak, brass, and mauve.... After a few weeks of painting, cleaning, and sewing, sewing, sewing, Lenny has a new look! It turned out so cute!  I love it!  It's really hard to take pictures in there because it's so small, so let's just go camping together so you can see it in person!

Roman Kicks A $$

Image
This boy keeps us laughing!  For the last couple of weeks Roman kept saying what we thought was "get gas" but what totally sounded like "kick a$$".  Of course we thought it was pretty hilarious but he would say it at wierd times.  For example, I had just gotten out of the shower one day and I was walking around in a towel.  He was following me around saying "Mommy kicks a $$!"  If you have never had someone tell your naked self that you kick ass,  it is a major confidence booster.  Anyway, it finally dawned on me what he was actually saying the other day.  I asked the kids what we should do after breakfast and Roman said "kick a $$!", and after snort-chuckling I realized he meant "get dressed".  That makes much more sense...
