Getting Crafty

Image
Loralie sewed a vest today, which was so small it "could only be for babies."  She said it was a "fixer upper " and put a big "FU" on it with tape.  Me and Caleb had a good laugh.

Art Class

Image
I got to take this girl to an art class today to celebrate her excellent grade card. We had a great time painting our mittens and discussing how art comes out different for everyone. Here is mine (right) next to the example. I don't follow directions well and I never know when to quit.  Lol.  Oh well, it was fun anyway.

Little Feets

This is how I can tell when Roman is done with his nap.

Keeping Busy

Image
Last Saturday we tried to chase the winter blues away by trying out a new indoor water park.  We give it four dripping thumbs up! Loralie had a goofy play date with buddy Kendra. Roman and Mommy explored Paradise Park, where we played Pizza Restaurant, drove a race car, and made a special cookie snack.

Roman's Preschool Craft Day

Image
I spent last Friday at Roman's school participating in Craft day.  There was lots of pretend play... Construction... And super hero training, as well as painting and lots of messy crafts.  Another preschool "last."

Mommy-Roman Days

I am increasingly aware that preschool is half over.  I only have a limited number of Tuesdays and Thursdays when it's just me and my little buddy.  He is growing up so fast!  Just this week he has learned to tie his own shoes and ride a bike! So I'm making an effort to squeeze as much fun as possible out of our remaining time.   Today we went to Power Play where we rode a roller coaster, threw some serious skee balls, and played air hockey until our hearts content.  Love this sweet boy.

Roman's 5th Bday Party

Image
The basement was all set up for a WHALE of a 5th birthday party...  Unfortunately, the birthday boy had spent all morning at the doctor's office because he had PINK EYE.  Mommy cried a little when he wasn't looking.  About half of his guests opted to not be exposed, so it was a very INTIMATE affair.  Luckily, he was pretty chill about the whole thing and while he was mad that his best boy buddies couldn't make it, he was overall very happy with his day. Neighbor buddies Luke and Josie. A few games:  Feed the Shark, Fishie Fishe, who's got the Fishie, And Pin the Fish in the Fishbowl.  I have loved this past year with my boy.  He is so precious to me.  I wouldn't trade him for all the fish in the sea.
