Sleeping Angels

Dear kids, Just so you know, I totally sneak into your rooms every night and state at your little faces and think to myself how lucky I am to be your mom.  And occasionally I take creepy pictures of you. Love, Mom

Childhood Over

So Loralie found her and Romans Easter basket last night (with the babysitter) and had some pressing questions.  She looked me right in the eye and asked, "Is the Easter Bunny real?"  Caleb and I have always agreed that when the kids ask that question we will tell the truth.  So I did.  I took a small comfort in knowing that she still believed in Santa and therefore wasn't a full grown adult yet.  Until about twenty minutes later when she came to me and asked, "so is Santa fake too?!"  Dang it.  Childhood over.

My Birdie

It was "dress up like a famous work of art" day at school.  Loralie wore this fabulous shuttlecock ansemble, reminecent of the lawn sculptures at The Nelson.  Isn't she a piece of (art) work?

I took this girl out for some ice cream this weekend because she had an excellent report card, got the principal's award, and got a "cougar card" for good behavior! So proud of all that she has accomplished this year! Then it was off to the park for some fun in the sun! Can't wait to spend a lazy summer with my two favorite kiddos!

Catch Up Post

Hey!  It's been a while since I've reported on the Lenz family happenings!  Here's what's new... These two got to go visit Grandma and Grandpa one weekend this month, and had a sleepover with NeeNee the next! Loralie has "homework" on the computer and Roman likes to set up his laptop right next to hers. We had a few weeks of nice springy weather, but unfortunately the cold was back this week.  Hopefully the snow will stay away and we will get some more sunshine. The kids had green smoothies and green eggs to celebrate St. Party's day and that was the extent of the fun.

Smart Art

Here is some fun Lenz artwork to cure your winter blahs.  Loralie made this on the 100th day of school.  It says:  Before I am 100 I will get married, go to the pool, have a baby, take my kid to Fun Run, get a car, get a house, drive to the beach, have a cab. Not necessarily in that order.  Lol. Roman made this fish and bread to learn about Jesus feeding the 5,000 at school. This was also the day he told me he was a bad boy and runned in circles and glued his face.  God bless Miss Cindy.
