oops

If you occasionally get a "Spelling Tuesday" email that is only pictures of food, just ignore. It is my food journal which normally only goes to my BFF to help keep me accountable. Sorry about that. No comments about yesterdays M&M's please.

On the Move

Watch out neighborhood cause here we come... In our brand new (to us) double stroller!!! Loralie had a great time "steering" on our rather chilly walk!

Sleepy McYawnerson

Image
After a super long and stressful day yesterday, which involved a lot of why is this baby still crying??? (Hungry? Tummy hurts? Gas? Wants to sleep? Wants to be awake? AHHHH !!!)... I was rewarded by Roman sleeping from 11pm to 6am, and then from 6:30am to 9am! Woo Hoo ! I feel like a new woman today! And he has been doing GREAT today, eating good long meals, and taking some nice naps. So, I am counting that as his first "sleep through the night" experience, and pray that it repeats itself on a regular basis! Having two kids is tough. One of the biggest problems is that you go into it kind of thinking that you know what you are doing. You did manage to get the first kid to her third birthday after all. The problem with that is that no two kids are the same. Where Loralie was so predictable and her cues were pretty easy to read (at least that is how I remember it now...), Roman has thrown us a bit of a curve ball at times! I think just because he was suffering so much with re...

Snow Day

We finally got a little bit of snow here in KC! Loralie and daddy ventured out to play!

Here comes the bride...

Image
Here is a conversation I overheard yesterday... Loralie: Look Daddy! I have my wedding thingy on my head! Caleb: You mean a veil. You are a beautiful bride! Who are you getting married to? L: ummmm.... YOU! Let's go to our wedding! He tried to convince her she might want to marry someone her own age who isn't realated to her, but she wasn't buying it. That girl loves her daddy!

Doctor Apointment

Roman went to Childrens Mercy today to get an ultrasound to rule out Pryloric Stenosis. Praise God, his tummy muscles looked normal! He actually has had two really good days in a row, so either the medicine has finally started working, or God interviened and healed his little tummy. He has been eating a full feeding every two hours or so and keeping it all down, which is major improvement from the weekend where he was only eating five minutes at a time and puking it all up! Hopefully the worst is past us now and we can fatten this boy up! Look how teeny!

One Month Old

Roman Dean, you are one month old today! We are so blessed to have you in our family, baby brudder ! You have such a sweet little spirit and you bring your family joy each and every day! You finally passed up your birth weight yesterday, weighing in at 7 lbs 10 ozs . Let me tell you, your mama had to work hard to get that whole little ounce of weight on you! You tend to puke up everything I feed you... I haven't measured your length lately, but I can tell you are getting longer. You have recently developed a love of your swing (probably because it keeps you upright, keeping tummy acid down), and you love to swing and swing and take little naps in your swing. In spite of your sensitive tummy, you are a pretty good sleeper. You slept from midnight to five AM last night, and that is pretty close to sleeping through the night! That makes mommy so happy!
