Spelling Tuesday

Evelyn Kay Brummett is finally here and she surprised everyone with her girl-ness!        

Little tiny boy, great big school!  Tonight was kindergarten round up and Roman was super excited!  

We had an awesome spring break which started with an overnight trip to Omaha, NE.  Day one was spent at the Omaha zoo, which is just plain amazing. Day two we went to the Omaha Children's museum.  The kids had a blast!  We practically had to drag them out of there. We spent the rest of the week just chilling and hanging out with friends.  So glad that spring is finally here to stay!

I accompanied Roman's preschool class on a field trip to the pet store this week. This was my fourth time going in this trip, twice with both kids!   Roman petted a little snake... And a bigger one!        

 

These two are always up to something!  Be it play dough, art projects, or fancy indoor picnics, there is never any boredom around these two!        

The last weekend in February, I got on a plane, flew to Ontario California, rented a car, drove up a mountain, and spent a weekend learning all about the publishing industry.  Driving through the mountains was a little scary, but the views were worth it. Our resort was beautiful, with private Chalets, delicious meals and even a sprinkling of snow on Sunday. I got to hang with some of the great authors and agents at KT Literary, including people who have published with Random House, and one girl who had worked with my same editor. It gave me a great vision for the future and reignited my passion to be an author.
