We had another great day of opening presents and spending time with family in Bolivar.  The kids were spoiled (as usual).  We decided to spend the following day at the Wonders of Wildlife Museum in Springfield. It was fun and educational (but super duper crowded!).

Guess who was the first one up on Christmas morning??? That's right.  Mom.  There is only one day in the year when I am a morning person and it is December 25th! Roman asked Santa for a blue guitar and he was mad that it was a "pool floating one!" But he got a lot happier when he opened his first real guitar! Loralie was way too excited about her drone! Nee Nee came over for presents and brunch, along with Matt, Becca, Ada and Evelyn. This kid is just way too cute! A great day of playing together and enjoying each other's company.  Merry Christmas!

We woke up to a snowy surprise on Christmas Eve morning!  A white Christmas after all! Santa pancakes for breakfast, And new PJs from Teddy! Loralie helped me make Great Grandma's Chicken and Noodles.  Sort of.  I mean, she sort of helped. Candle light service at church- always my favorite! And then a cozy movie by the fire- this year we watched "It's a Wonderful Life." Candy cane seeds were planted and cookies were left for Santa!

 

Loralie’s letter to Santa Roman’s letter to Santa. Roman asked for a blue guitar and an iPad. Loralie, who is officially too old to sit on Santa’s lap, asked for a little live pet and a prank set. Then she asked for a baby sister. Eye rolls from Mom.

We had such a super fun night with friends!  We got together with the Chambers and Henneighs and rode in style to see the plaza lights. I love that our kids are growing up together!
