Take your kid to work day

Image
It is "Take your kid to work day," today, so Loralie got a first hand look at the glamorous careers of her parents.  First, she learned the ropes of being an author with mommy.  We drank coffee at the library and wrote stories.  Hers was called "A secret Garden" about a girl who finds a secret garden... I think it is destined to be a classic. Then we went to Daddy's job, which involved crawling in and out of a lot of big vehicles and playing with robots. I wonder what careers these kids will choose?

AWANAS

Image
This year I had the awesome privilege of taking my kids to the AWANAS program at our church.  Roman was in cubbies.  He learned awesome truths such as Rom 3:23 "All have sinned" and Rom 5:8 "while we were still sinners, christ died for us." Loralie managed to complete two whole books this year, which is a TON of bible verses, without any help from her Mom. Here is Loralie getting two big ribbons for all of her hard work.  Here is Roman with Mr. Kyle, one of his three teachers.  And here is Loralie with Miss Megan, who not only teaches her Sparks group, but also her sunday school class.  I am so grateful for all the adults who take time to teach my kids and make an impact on them.

Roman's Preschool Conference

We had a nice chat with Miss Traci last night about all the progress that Roman has made in preschool this year.  He is doing really well, and still has another year before kindergarten.  Mom and Dad are very proud!

First Grade Music Program

Image
Our silly girl took the stage in her first grade music program tonight.  We didn't have very good seats, so it was hard to get a good picture of her up there doing her thing, but afterwards she was all smiles.

Zoo Day

Yesterday we were joined by Grandma and Grandpa Lenz, as well as Aunt Chelle and had a delightful (and exhausting) day at the zoo!  We walked a million miles and saw creatures big and small.  The weather was beautiful and Loralie and Jude were extra silly.
