Spelling Tuesday

 

The kids have been lobbying hard for me to have another baby. They swear they would change all the diapers and do all the nighttime feedings. Yeah right. So they are very excited whenever cousin Evelyn comes to visit! And they aren't the only ones. Loralie even giddily agreed to change the diaper- until she realized it was poopy... I like borrowing babies. Much easier than actually owning them.              

We took Biggie the Camper to the lovely Eugene T Mahoney state park in Nebraska. The park had a lot of awesome stuff for kids, including a water park. There were five full days of family time- and we loved it! We took out paddle boats, fished, Painted pottery, Went putt putt golfing, And played on the awesome playground! Love spending time with these guys!                          

         

Due to Roman's insistence to start Kindergarten as soon as possible, the kids started summer school today. In spite of Roman's enthusiasm, he got nervous last night, and ended up sleeping in my bed, holding my hand.  The first thing he said this morning was "My teachers name is Ms. Mansil!" Like he's been practicing it all night. He looks so tiny with his big backpack! But once we got to the classroom he got excited about the new toys and friends.  He told me it was okay for me to go.  He is so ready for this adventure and I can't wait to hear about his first day.      

So far this summer the Lenz kids have gone for a nature hike, Swam at the pool, Gone for a bike ride, Spent an afternoon at the beach (smithville), And went to an arcade! Not bad for the first week!
