Jesus Is...

Focus on the Family magazine had some fun Pre-Easter activities to do with your preschoolers, so Loralie and I made this fun collage with pictures that reminded us of Jesus. Admittedly, I did most of the picture finding and cutting, and Loralie was on glue duty. Here is the end result:


Jesus is the bread of life, the branch, the "sun" of God, the gift of God, the living water, the light of the world, and my personal favorite, the "Way" with a picture of Whey powder. Thanks Shape Magazine!

Then yesterday I came into Loralie's room after her nap and she had totally destroyed one of her pretty hair bows. I was grumbling about how I was going to try to fix it, and Loralie said "Mommy, you should just ask Jesus to fix it." Hmmm, not sure he does a lot of hair bow fixing...
but maybe if I had the faith of a mustard seed!

    LOVE it, I like the hair bow situation, good thinking, L! great idea for Easter! Pass on some more! I was just thinking how much I do for Christmas and I really want to get a plan in action for Easter too!

It's amazing how your life can change in a single minute. Simmin' in the Simmin' Pool!

So, our outdoor baby has a new love of her life- "Simmin' in the simmin' pool!" I think she would be out there all day if I let her! In fact, I have to watch her really carefully when we are just playing in the backyard, cause she has been known to crawl in by herself fully dressed! She likes to splash and kick, and play with her watering can and rubber duckies. Mama is going to have a good tan by the end of this summer!

The Cousins Visit!

Loralie has been eagerly awaiting the arrival of her COUSINS! Starting last week she has been constantly asking when "Michael and Daniel gonna come see me???" and on Monday night THEY ARRIVED! Tuesday morning Caleb took his brother Levi with him to work and Robyn and I took the kiddos to the Under the Sea playland at Crown Center. They ran around like crazy for a few hours, enjoying the seaweed forrest, the mermaid house, and the pirate ship! Then we went to the crayola store and did a little doodling. Lunch was delivered via choo-choo at Fritz's (man, that place is LOUD.) Then we went home and took much needed naps! The evening brought more fun and energy exertion at the Moonbounce place at the Zona Rosa. Loralie was excited that she could do the big ladders and slides all by herself.
