280 Squad

While my days are mostly filled with tea parties and tea lights, my husband's days are filled with flashbangs and firearms on the Tactical Response Team for the KCPD.
This is Caleb's squad, 280. He is the second one from the left in this picture.
Caleb's job is to be the second one through the door after they kick it in. I think he said he got that position because he was tall? I guess you have to shoot over the first guys head... glad he isn't that guy! So he is the number two guy. *insert potty humor here*



He is currently the senior officer on the squad, with the most time on, including his sergeant. Incidentally he has been studying like crazy for the sergeant's test which he will take in a few weeks. I think he would make a great sergeant. He is the kind of man that other men respect and want to follow.


Bad boys, bad boys, whatcha gonna do? Whatcha gonna do when they come for you...

So here's to you, my brave husband. Thanks for all you do. You be safe out there.

Simmin' in the Simmin' Pool!

So, our outdoor baby has a new love of her life- "Simmin' in the simmin' pool!" I think she would be out there all day if I let her! In fact, I have to watch her really carefully when we are just playing in the backyard, cause she has been known to crawl in by herself fully dressed! She likes to splash and kick, and play with her watering can and rubber duckies. Mama is going to have a good tan by the end of this summer!

The Cousins Visit!

Loralie has been eagerly awaiting the arrival of her COUSINS! Starting last week she has been constantly asking when "Michael and Daniel gonna come see me???" and on Monday night THEY ARRIVED! Tuesday morning Caleb took his brother Levi with him to work and Robyn and I took the kiddos to the Under the Sea playland at Crown Center. They ran around like crazy for a few hours, enjoying the seaweed forrest, the mermaid house, and the pirate ship! Then we went to the crayola store and did a little doodling. Lunch was delivered via choo-choo at Fritz's (man, that place is LOUD.) Then we went home and took much needed naps!
