14 Months
Baby Boy Wonder is now 14 months old! He is cruising around like crazy and getting into all kinds of stuff he shouldn't! Walking, running, and acrobatics shouldn't be too far on the horizon now!
He is learning so many new words, repeating things he hears all day long. Here is his words list:
Mamma
Dadda
Bubbuh
Lor-lie
Up
All done
Hi
Num nums
Ball
Ouch
Uh-huh
Nigh-nigh
Good job
Car
More
Arm
Dinky (binky)
Uh-oh bubba!
Bobble (bottle)
He also imitates animal sounds when he hears them. He can do the sounds for all the animals in his book!
He eats everything. Literally, whatever we put in his plate he will eat. Usually he eats more than Loralie. No joke.
He is starting to test what we mean when we say "no". For example, he will purposefully drop food off of his highchair. We will say no. He will look at us quizzically and dangle another piece of food tauntingly over the edge. We will say "no no Romey". He smiles, and drops the food. Oh my.
He still screams. A lot. Doctors have said that's just his personality. Awesome.
He does play quietly by himself for good long stretches. He LOVES puzzles, and actually manages to get the pieces in all by himself sometimes (they say 3 and up so I think he's gifted!). He pretends to read books, turning the pages and saying "blahblahblahblah." He still likes blocks and has recently discovered cars. He likes to push his walker. He loves music and clapping his hands.
He does let mamma snuggle him and hold him a little bit before bed, which I love love. And I whisper to him about all the fun that is in store for him and how much God and mommy and Daddy love him, and how we can't wait to see what God has created him to do. These are the things a mother treasures in her heart. And they make the screaming moments a little less annoying.
