Spelling Tuesday

I had my first OB appointment today, and got to do an 8 week sonogram! I was pretty excited, because I didn't get a sono with Loralie until 20 weeks! Look at our precious little peanut!

Caleb took Lorlie on her first ever fishing trip a few weeks ago! She actually caught two fish! She wouldn't touch the worms or the fish though! She was excited about her pink princess fishing pole and tackle box!

...you accidentally fall asleep twice in one morning, and then take a nap later on in the day. How does one accidentally fall asleep, you might ask? Well, Loralie and I were playing hide-n-go-seek and she suggested I go hide in my bed. And I am a really good hider. And then later we watched a TV show as it was hailing outside and before I knew it, the show was over and Lorlie's face was about and inch from mine and she was asking, "Are you asleep mommy?" And all that before one PM. At which time I took a nap because Loralie was taking one and if she gets to take one I get to take one. Caleb is currently out of town. His TRT was called out on Monday morning to spend a week helping to search and rescue survivors in the aftermath of the Joplin tornado. So I am on my own for the week. Boy am I pooped already! It seems like the less energy I have, the more energy Loralie has!

Ada celebrated her very first birthday on Saturday, and we went to her party on Sunday! It was a backyard gathering with a lot of Matt and Andie's friends and family members. Andrea's sister, who, I will admit, is a little hippy-dippy, was letting her one year old son swim naked in the kiddie pool. Loralie approached him shyly and said "Hi baby. I like your little foot. (referring to his pee-pee pipe)! Haha! Glad we didn't get any additional questions about that! Here are some birthday party pics!

May 20th is my 31st birthday, and my friends and family have blessed me with a birthday WEEK of fun! It started on Friday night when Caleb scored us tickets to see Brian Reagan, who is our most favorite comedian! We had dinner on the plaza and laughed our butts off to his hilariousness. Then Saturday, my sister in law Michelle arrived to kick off "Girl's Weekend!" Saturday night, after I got home from working a wedding we vegged out with movies at home. Sunday we went to church, and then me and Chelle went to the Toys and Miniatures Museum. We strolled around for hours checking out some really cool dollhouses, and we took a walk down memory lane looking at the Barbie exhibit. Monday we took Loralie to the zoo for the first time of the season! And then Michelle and I got to go to a chick flick while Loralie played at a friend's house. Caleb and I enjoyed a fun Mother's day weekend. Sunday afternoon we went out to lunch with My mom, Matt and Andie, and of course, baby Ada. After lunch we drove to Bolivar (with my Mom) to visit Caleb's parents. The mother's day present that we gave the Mom's was a big hit. It was the photo album that is below, which announced that we are expecting baby number two in January! Both Grandmas (and Grandpa) were very excited and we are all eagerly awaiting our new little nugget!

Our sweet girl turned two and a half last month! But if you ask her how old she is, most of the time she says "I ten." Here are her current stats: She loves reading, coloring, playing with play dough , doing "projects", playing in her sand box, and going to church. She is still pretty shy in groups, and tends to stick pretty close to mommy if she is in a strange environment or if there are a lot of other kids around. She has the sweetest little spirit and is very kind hearted. If she accidentally bumps you or steps on you she will say "Oh, I sorry." She currently likes to play "baby" where she crawls on the floor and talks like a baby and does a lot of fake crying. She loves to go to the park to play on swings and slides. If you tell her "I love you the best" she will answer with "No, I love you the best!"
