Roman's Preschool Christmas Program

This little guy had his preschool Christmas program this afternoon.  He has been practicing his "Rum Pum Pum Pums" for weeks now.  If you recall, last year he sat down on the stage for the entire performance and didn't sing or smile.  So we had low expectations.
But then, the show started and Roman knocked it out of the park!



He sang, he smiled, he even did hand motions and shook his jingle bell! 
We were so proud!



He got to pick where we would go to lunch afterwards, and he chose Olive Garden, or "The Breadstick Place," as he likes to call it.  
It has also occurred to me this week that this school year is almost half way over... WHAT THE HECK?!?  It is flying by!  This is the last year of preschool, my last year with my little buddy at home with me.  I might be getting chocked up about it even as I type this.

Loralie has had a love for all things Elmo from the time she was three months old. I am not exaggerating. When she was just a wee little thing I turned on Sesame Street just to see if she would watch it (she pretty much ignored all other TV at the time). Conversations with My Father

I got my Dad this really cool book for Christmas. It is called "Conversations with My Father" and it is a book of questions that you sit down and ask your Dad all about his life. I am excited to start working on it with my Dad, but I thought it would also be fun to record my own answers to some of the questions. My book would be called "Conversations with Loralie's Mom." He he. Anyways, the first page is all about your childhood, so here goes. I was born on May 20th, 1980 in Portland OR. I was definatley delivered in a hospital, no hippy dippy home births here. The only thing unusual about my birth, as far as I know, is that I was delivered precisely on my due date. I like to be on time. I think it is a courtesy to others. My Mom and the Mailman

This story falls under the category of "kids say the darnedest things". When I was about two years old, my parents sat me down to tell me the exciting news that I was going to have a baby brother or sister. My response was "The mailman will be sooo happy!!!" To which my Dad replied "Say what?!?!" He always says it's a good thing I was born with the Brummett gap between my teeth, or Mom would have had a little explaining to do! They still to this day do not know why I felt our mailman would be the most excited about the new addition to our family!
