Kindergarten Music Program

Our sweet girl's kindergarten class performed their music program tonight.  Her class wore t-shirts that her teacher had tie-dyed blue.



She was so excited to sing us all the songs her class had been practicing.

 She sang and did all the choreography and even smiled!  Much better than her preschool performances!
We heard classic hits such as "Alice the Camel" and "Hakuna Matata," all with an animal theme.

When the kids got up on the risers, Roman yelled "There's Loralie!  There's my Loralie!"  After the show we went to Pizza Hut for a celebration dinner.  It was all very fun until about ten minutes ago when both children hit their tiredness limit and lost their dang minds.  GO TO SLEEP.

Loralie has had a love for all things Elmo from the time she was three months old. I am not exaggerating. When she was just a wee little thing I turned on Sesame Street just to see if she would watch it (she pretty much ignored all other TV at the time). She was indifferent to the bulk of the show, but as soon as the theme song for "Elmo's World" started playing, she was totally sucked in! Now, I know what you are thinking. "There is no need for a baby to watch TV." And I would probably agree with you. Conversations with My Father

I got my Dad this really cool book for Christmas. It is called "Conversations with My Father" and it is a book of questions that you sit down and ask your Dad all about his life. I am excited to start working on it with my Dad, but I thought it would also be fun to record my own answers to some of the questions. My book would be called "Conversations with Loralie's Mom." He he. Anyways, the first page is all about your childhood, so here goes. I was born on May 20th, 1980 in Portland OR. I was definatley delivered in a hospital, no hippy dippy home births here. The only thing unusual about my birth, as far as I know, is that I was delivered precisely on my due date. I like to be on time. I think it is a courtesy to others. My parents named me Niki Rochelle Brummett. My mom picked out the first name, after a friend she had had. My Mom and the Mailman

This story falls under the category of "kids say the darnedest things". When I was about two years old, my parents sat me down to tell me the exciting news that I was going to have a baby brother or sister. My response was "The mailman will be sooo happy!!!" To which my Dad replied "Say what?!?!" He always says it's a good thing I was born with the Brummett gap between my teeth, or Mom would have had a little explaining to do! They still to this day do not know why I felt our mailman would be the most excited about the new addition to our family!
