Loralie Baptism 9/11/16

Image
http://youtu.be/NCuF0xRrcyw Loralie was baptized last weekend at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church.  She had asked me several months ago if she could be, and we spent a lot of time making sure she knew what she was doing.  Then she had to go to a class at church and meet with the children's pastor individually. It was a really special occasion for us to watch our daughter commit her life to Christ and then share it with our whole family.

Off to School

So I guess I forgot to post on Loralie's first day of School, which was a few weeks ago.  She is loving second grade (SECOND!) and her teacher, Mrs. Peluso.   And my sweet daring boy FINALLY started Pre-K today.  He has been asking since May.  He has been carrying around his backpack and lunch box for weeks.  He has been talking about his new school shoes that he can only wear to school for an eternity.  And today it was finally here!  Both of us did a happy dance!  THREE WHOLE DAYS A WEEK PEOPLE.   See how he is the shortest and cutest boy in the class?

Caleb's life saving award

Image
Caleb received a life saving award last week, and me and the kids were there to cheer him on. It was wonderful to see him honored (again), however, the kids came away from the experience kind of traumatized.  The woman who Caleb saved later had to have her leg amputated and she was there at the ceremony to thank him.  The kids were fascinated, and on the way out to the car Roman asked me why Daddy shot that lady and cut her leg off.  Oh my!  I had a lot of explaining to do.  Since then they have both reported having dreams where their legs got cut off, and Roman has mentioned the lady who got her leg cut off quite a few times.  I guess you have to grow up fast when you are a cop's kid!
