Roman's Baby Dedication

Image
So, Okay, we are a little late on this one, as Roman is almost four but... This Sunday was his baby dedication!  Our whole family got up on the stage and promised to teach Roman all about Jesus to the best of our abilities.  Both kids were very well behaved up there on the stage, which was good because I was a little afraid Roman might try to lift my dress over my head or something. I love this little guy so much, and he has learned amazing things about God this year through church, preschool, and Awanas.  He is such a blessing and I pray every day that God will use him in mighty ways for the kingdom.   And is this not the cutest picture Aunt Michelle took of us?  It's going on the Christmas card, so I need you to immediately forget you saw it.

Loralie's Seventh Birthday Party

Image
When we went rollerskating last summer, this girl decided she wanted to have her seventh birthday party at the skating rink.  She never changed her mind, and it was a really good decision!  For one thing, how cute is this guy in skates?  Grandma, Grandpa and Aunt Chelle drove all the way from Bolivar to get in on the skating action. But they had nothing on my sweet moves.  NeeNee came too and added to the fun and excitement of the day.  There was cake and presents and lots of good friends. The birthday girl got to paint her hand on the wall. Can't believe my baby is SEVEN.  She is such a sweet girl and I love getting to know her as an elementary school kid.  She is gonna change the world some day, and I am proud to be her mom.

Loralie is Seven

Last night I tucked in a six year old... And this morning I have a big seven-year-old!  She was so excited to find the upstairs hallway full of streamers and balloons when she woke up!  We had chocolate oatmeal for breakfast (her fav) and she got to open some books and a new outfit to wear to school.   After school she got her favorite dinner (lasagna) and a cupcake ablaze with candles.   Her present from mommy and daddy was an Our Generation Doll (a poor mans American Girls) and some clothes for her.  She was sooooo excited! We will party hardy at the skating rink on Saturday!

Hachman Halloween Party 2015

Image
We got all dressed up in our Halloween costumes to go to a family party last night.   Roman is our little monster, and Loralie is a Peacock. I was Minnie Mouse, but my polka dots kept falling off my skirt.   Caleb was a beer delivery man.  I assure you, I did not help in the selection of that costume.   The kids got stuffed with candy and we got to enjoy fun with friends around a bonfire.  A fun October night!

Pre-Birthday Cowgirl Day

Image
Can you believe this girl is almost seven?   I sure can't.  Just the other day I was filling out some kind of paperwork and when it asked me her age, my first thought was "five!".  Nope.   NeeNee wanted to give Loralie something special for her birthday, so she signed her up for horseback riding lessons!  Loralie was a little shy at first.  We haven't been around large animals (or small animals) much.  But by the end of the lesson she was riding like a pro!  Yee- Haw! Happy Almost Birthday to my little cow poke!

Happy Fall Y'all

Image
It's pumpkin patch time!!!!   Last weekend we took the kiddos out to the farm and enjoyed cattle roping... Tractor driving... And fall fun! It's nostalgic for me to take the kiddos here each year.  I think back on when we would bring Loralie when she was still in diapers.  They are growing up so fast!  Here's to another fall full of pumpkin donuts, hayrides and snuggles.

My Loves

Image
I love these kids. Roman tells me he loves me like twenty times a day. He's an "I love you mommy!" Ninja. Loralie glows when I come to her class to volunteer.  I went today and was immediately surrounded by a gaggle of girls who told me they liked my hair, lipstick, shirt, and fingernails.  Loralie proudly claimed me as her Mom. We've had an interesting week with some very high highs (I got an offer from a literary agent) and some very low lows (vomit).  But I wouldn't want to travel through any of it without my precious people.
