Mommy-Kids Weekend

Image
Caleb went to Bolivar last weekend to spend time with his brother and help his dad around the farm, and since I had the kiddos, I decided to break out the big guns. My strategy was to wear the kids out so thoroughly that they would collapse at bedtime.   We went rollerskating with NeeNee.  Both kids did awesome, but Roman was like a skating prodigy.  Big kids kept telling him "good job little guy!" And he loved it! My plan worked so well, in fact, that roman fell asleep in the car (we had to skate during naptime) while dropping NeeNee off.  So what's a Mom to do?  I tried to think of the furthest-away Resturant I knew of, so he could finish his car-nap! Loralie conked out in the car too, and when they woke up, we were at the T-Rex Cafe! We also packed in some shopping and pool time, so it was a busy-fun weekend!

Father's Day

Well, I am a little behind here, but we had a nice Father's Day last weekend.  We got Caleb some fun goodies and a picture key chain and a nice card.  The rest of this week has been full if summer fun, like getting free books at the library, eating ice cream for dinner... And of course LOTS of pool time!  Long live summer!

Float Trip and Great Gran's 95th

Image
The Lenz's dropped the kiddos off in Bolivar and headed off to a weekend of fun in the sun (and rain) on our annual float trip.  These are some of my favorite people, right here!  When we got back to Bolivar on Sunday afternoon it was time to celebrate a very special lady!  Great Grandma Anita was turning ninety-five years young. Birthday girl! And lots of cousin time! Happy Birthday Great Grandma!

Shower, anniversary, and carnival...Oh mY!

I can't believe it's already Wednesday and I haven't written about last weekend!  We traveled to Bolivar to spend some quality time with Caleb's family. Levi and Robyn are in home assignment and Robyn is gonna have a little girl in just a few weeks, so we threw her a very pink baby shower. I can't wait to hold my new little niece! On Sunday afternoon Caleb surprised me with an anniversary trip down memory lane.  We visited Spring Hill Baptist Church, where we said "I Do" in '02!  Then we had lunch with the pastor/friend who married us!  What a great surprise! Loralie and Roman got to spend lots of time with the cousins. The VBS carnival was super exciting.  Loralie climbed the rock wall and did a zip line! Yay for times with family!

Sunday-Funday

Image
On Sunday we got a break from rain, so we headed to the lake with Matt and Becca, as well as NeeNee.  The picture above is of Matt and Ada in the boat that my Dad built.  The picture below is Caleb in it. Roman, Loralie, and Ada had fun throwing rocks in the water and riding their bikes.  We grilled out and hung out and a fun time was had by all.
