Loralie is Six

Image
This sweet girl has been the light of our lives for six years now!  Here are some stats about our beautiful daughter: 1) She is a ball of energy. I blame daddy for that one. 2) Her favorite outside activity is climbing trees.  She spent nearly all last summer in a tree. She named it Tree-tree. 3)  She is very smart.  We just had our first Kindergarten Parent-Teacher conference and her teacher says that she is doing awesome.  She got her grade card and had what would be the equivelant of all As!  She is reading and writing like a pro now.   4) Her best friends are Kaylee and Ellie, cousin Ada, and Reece from school. 5). Her favorite foods are hot dogs, Mac n cheese and ice cream. 6). She wants to be a veterinarian when she grows up, which is better than a vacuuming princess from last year... 7) She is silly and wild and loves to wrestle with daddy. 8) I miss her like crazy when she is gone at school all day!  I love this little girl!  I always...

My Little Pony Party

Image
We celebrated six sweet years with our little girl with a My Little Pony Party!  We had Pinkie Pie Cupcakes, Rainbow Dash Krispies, Fluttershy's Fruiterflies, Rarity's Ring Pops, Twilight Sparkle Punch, and Apple Dash's Apples and Dip.  If you are not the mom of a little girl, this probably all sounds like gibberish, but I assure you it was completely thematic.  Rainbow Cupcakes that looked a little bit like unicorn poop, but oh well.  We got "cutie marks" on our faces by Loralie's amazing Aunt Becca... and we got our "hooves" painted by NeeNee.  We played "Pin the Cutie on the Pony"...  and decorated our goodie bags.  We had some special guests from Bolivar and St. Joe!  We sang.  We ate.  We got blue tongues.  And then a pile of presents!  I hope this is a birthday our girl will always remember...  ...she opened her Kindle and said it was the happiest day of her li...

Happy Birthday to Mom

Image
We celebrated Mom's birthday last night with a family dinner at Matt and Becca's house. The kids had a great time singing to NeeNee and showering her with lovely gifts!  Happy Birthday Mom!  May the next year bring love and luck!

Bamah and PeePaw's

Caleb took the kiddos to Bolivar for some quality time with "Bamah and PeePaw", as Roman calls them.  Loralie helped Grandma bake a pumpkin pie. The kids also harvested sunflower seeds to plant in our yard next year. Meanwhile, mommy had a nice relaxing weekend.  I went shopping, got a massage, and hung out with friends!  I even took a nap!  Just the recharge this Mama needed! And I spruced up the kids bathroom a bit, just added a new curtain and rug and some much needed storage. Now to get ready for this weekend... Loralie's sixth birthday party!  Ahhhh!

Last Camping Trip of the Year

Image
We took the kids (and Lenny the Camper) for the last camping trip of the year.  We went to Smithville Lake, which is just a few minutes from our house.  The weather was awesome, and kids had a great time riding bikes...  and fishing with Daddy!  Here we are!  Please excuse my camping hair and camping outfit...  I LOVE fall camping!

A Bunch of Random...

Well, let's see... We've been to the pumpkin patch a bunch of times already because as I have stated on many occasion, it is my favorite place ever. Roman's favorite thing this year is the school bus. Loralie loves the baby goats and is terrified of them in equal measure. Kaylee is the third pumpkin in the patch here.  I watch her after school so she tags along on our adventures. Roman and I have been trying to keep busy while Loralie is at school. Check out these awesome shelves Caleb built me for the naked spot over the couch!  They are so cool! We went to the liberty fall festival and Loralie rode one of the scary rides.  She loved it of course.  Lots of snuggles together in the hammock, enjoying the fall weather!
