Contrition

Image
Loralie got in big trouble the other day for slamming a door.  She had to go to her room for time out, and I was impressed by how quiet she was up there.  When it was time to let her out she presented me with these: Allow me to translate: "I love you Mom.  I won't slam doors.  I will make it up to you.  I will do what you say." That's a pretty good apology!

Happy Birthday to Me!

Image
I am thirty four years young people!  And what does a thirty four year old do on her birthday?  Go to the T-Rex Cafe of course! These girls had a lot of fun.  A lot of booth-wrestling, milk-spilling fun. Did I mention I shared this birthday party with my Ada?!?  She's the big 0-4 now! Cake and candles. Oh my word!  Is that a triceratops eating my daughter photo bombing me?!?

Last Day of Pre-K

Image
Loralie had her last day of Pre-K at Shoal Creek on Friday.  Her little class did a program of all the cute songs they have learned this year.  I think she was singing "Be careful little ears what you hear" in this one.  Here is Miss Julie giving Loralie her diploma.  NeeNee and Grandma and Pee Paw came to celebrate her achievement!  Loralie with Miss Julie.  She was such a great teacher this year.  We are really going to miss her! This BIG GIRL is Kindergarten Bound!  AHHHHHH!!

Mom's Day

Image
I got to have a peaceful Mother's Day with these guys!  Church and then a nice lunch with the fam. I asked Caleb to "spruce up" the deck for my present so of course he transformed it into a tropical paradise complete with grape vines and hummingbird feeders! Loralie made me and plethora of cards, which were all different variations of this: "Happy Mother's Day!  I love you!"  I love her kindergarten spelling!   Great Day!

I would title this "The Misery which is Preschool Picture day".  Lol.

Zoo Day

Image
We went to the zoo yesterday.  It was school field trip hell. I think there were aproximately a million elementary schools there.  Gah.  Remember when I used to be that frazzled teacher trying to keep track of way too many inner city Kindergarteners?   I thoroughly enjoyed just having my own two precious whiners to look after.
