Fun Day

Image
Every once in a while the stars aline and Caleb doesn't have to work on a day when Loralie doesn't have school and we sit there staring at each other thinking "now what?"  Until someone suggests "Let's do something FUN!" This week we ended up at Fun Run, which Loralie explained to us is "fun because you can like run."  It was fun to see how much more independent Roman was this time compared to last year.  He's getting brave!

We got a much needed break in the weather yesterday and the kids were keen on some outdoor time! Loralie strapped Little Baby to her chest and took her on a scooter ride.  Then the kids discovered the puddles... It's all fun and games until someone falls over... Which Roman did. Can't wait until all this snow is gone!

Happy Valentines Day!

This week has been busy!  And yet, I have very few pictures to show for it! The kids made some fun Valentine's. Loralie's class had Olympics Day on Monday, Valentine Party on Wednesday (they are having a relay race blowing tissue paper hearts), and Pajama day today!  Whew!  Later that night we had a birthday dinner for Uncle Matt.   Today I awoke to flowers and a card and breakfast!  I got to go browse at Nebraska Furniture Mart with the hubs, and tonight I am snuggling with the kids!

Bolivar Weekend

Image
We had a super fun family weekend in Bolivar!  Caleb and Loralie assisted Aunt Chelle in making some pies. Uncle Jon got some snuggles. And then Caleb and I took advantage of the free babysitting and went on a late Valentines Day date.  Our first stop was a rather spontaneous one- The Fantastic Caverns!  I hadn't been since I was a little kid.  It's pretty amazing!  I got some story ideas just being in there. Then Caleb took me to a swanky tapas restaurant where we had a delightful dinner.  After dinner we went to 1984, which is this cool arcade with all the games from back in the day!  I rule at Tetris!!! We had a family lunch today and got to spend time with both Great Grannies.  I am so blessed to have such a thoughtful hubby and his crazy fun family to call my own.

This Week

We got a "little" Midwestern snowstorm, so we have been homebound all week.  My floors are covered with beans, but man, it keeps Roman occupied.  He accidentally pours them on the floor and says "no no Moman!  No greenie beanies on floor!" Loralie has been keeping herself busy in her own quirky way.  She came down in this getup this morning sayjng she looked just like Ana (from the movie Frozen).  Not bad! So tonight we got out of the house and burnt up a week's worth of energy at our churches Valentine's Day Dance!  I was expecting Loralie to be busting a move while Roman whiled and binged on cookies, however that was not the case. Roman was the best date I have ever had to a dance!  He danced every song, and man you should his moves!  I actually had a great time!  So in love with that little guy!

The Green Lady Lounge

Last weekend we ventured out of the burbs to go to a swanky lounge in the city. The jazz duo there was really amazing! My mom sounded great!  I can tell all her hard work and practice has paid off! It was a fun date night!
