Warrior Dash

Image
Last weekend Caleb participated in the Warrior Dash- a three mile run with military style obstacles. Read: mud. And lots of it. I was asked to run as well and I said "Hells to the No." I would rather run five times as far and not have to swim in mud! My husband is pretty studly...

Tour of the Casa Lenz

Image
Hello, loyal blog readers (Ok, that's mostly me and my mom), today I thought I would give you a tour of our house.  Haven't you always wondered what it looks like over here?  And today is the perfect day to show you because Caleb took the kiddos for Bolivar for the last several days and so the Kiddie's rooms are really, really clean!  Also, I decided to do a little project while he was gone... Before and After Painted Countertops I would like to say that I do not recommend this.  The verdict is still out if I like the results, and the process was horrible.  Anywho... moving on. This room is my next project (rubs hands together with devilish enthusiasm). Roman's Room Loralie's room... although it never looks like this.  She is a hoarder. Our bedroom.  I am trying to figure out some art for over the bed.  Work in progress.  Work that started last summer, but whatever. Not pictured:  Master bath, ...

Roman at 15 Months

Image
Our little guy had his 15 month doctor appointment this week, and his last parents as Teachers meeting for the year. Little buddy is in the 2nd percentile for height (29.5 in) and the 5-10th percentile for weight (19lbs 3oz). He is still not walking which has everyone up in arms. I stand by my theory that he was just trying to stay alive during his first two months of life, so his gross motor skills are approximately two months behind. Verbally he is off the charts ahead. He puts together some two word phrases and can usually tell us what he wants. His fine motor skills are right on track, with his newest accomplishment this month being scribbling with a crayon. I feel like he has been happier lately, so maybe we finally got all his bugs worked out... For now anyways! I love my snugly cuddly boy!

Girls Night!

Image
I had a delightful night with my two good friends last night! Did you know Valerie spent a summer in China and one in Alaska??? Did you know that Heather and Nathan beat some mating cats at a restaurant in Greece and almost got arrested in Mexico??? Have you ever had a Bubble Tea? It's like a delicious slushy with chunks of tasteless gummy bears in it! Sorry your face got cut off in the pic Heather!

Ada Day!

I watched Ada yesterday, and these cousins had a great time together! We did an art project and went to Fun Run. The girls loved it. Roman, not so much!

Circus!!!

Image
Caleb is taking another big test at work next week, so I decided that instead of watching him study for days I would take the kids and go on a little road trip to Bolivar. I made plans to meet up with college friends Penny and Alyssa who were in town with their kiddos. We had a good time catching up and watching our youngins run around! Roman and Loralie got to spend some quality time with Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt Chelle and Uncle Jon. The weather was beautiful so we spent a lot of time at the park. Friday night the Grandparents treated us with tickets to the circus! I was concerned that Roman would be grouchy, but he actually fell asleep after the first few minutes and didn't wake up until near the end! Loralie had a great time! She loved hanging out with her buddy Avyn and getting spoiled by her Uncle Jon (a stuffed animal and an elephant ride!).

School Pictures

These are Loralies school pictures which Caleb and I got into a big fight about because I wanted to buy them (precious memories!) and he didn't. But I guess he won because I forgot to turn them in by the deadline, so I had to steal them instead...
